Mark Chewter

Mark has been a Partner of CSL since November 1998. During his time with CSL, Mark has worked with clients in industries as diverse as retail, tourism, distribution, manufacturing, agribusiness and Internet applications. Mark has concluded many buy side and sell side mandates, raising equity, raising debt, restructuring balance sheets for private and listed companies.

Before joining CSL, Mark worked for 12 years in the equity research and sales divisions of such leading international investment banks as Union Bank of Switzerland, Swiss Bank Corporation and Deutsche Bank and has been stationed in Thailand, Singapore and the United Kingdom. His experience has afforded him an understanding of the requirements of international investors in both mature and emerging markets.

Today Mark holds the position of CFO at Cobra International, the largest manufacturer of Windsurf and Surf boards in the world, preparing the company for an IPO.

Mark holds an MA (Hons) from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics, specialising in corporate structuring and financing. He is a Fellow Member of the Thai Institute of Directors and has served variously as Director, as Chairman and as Audit Committee Chairman. He is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and undertakes arbitration work.

Mark is married with 2 children, is a committed Chelsea fan and a reluctant tri-athlete.

Iain Brewster

Iain joined CSL as a Partner in 2006.  Previously Iain worked for 11 years as a management consultant for leading consultants Atkins plc and PricewaterhouseCoopers in UK, Argentina, Brazil and Turkey.

Iain most recently led the operational and finance effectiveness teams of the Thai practice of PwC where he quadrupled revenue in two years. Before moving to the Thai team, Iain was the leader of the performance improvement consulting practice in Istanbul, doubling the size of the practice. He has held regional roles for PwC and led significant internal as well as external projects.

His areas of expertise cover process re-engineering, project management and risk management.  His general management skills and flexibility have been heavily drawn upon in his work in emerging markets.

Iain has a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from Aberdeen University, a M.Sc. and  DIC from Imperial College, London and is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.

He is married, with three children (and a 1964 Vespa VBB).  He is learning Muay Thai and occasionally plays elephant polo.

Pon joined CSL as an Executive in 2007 and holds the position of Finance Manager at Cobra International.

Before joining CSL, Pon worked for 3 years in the investment buy-side industry for a private fund as a Portfolio Manager. He most recently led the development of the Small Mid Cap Investment Fund which achieved a return of 55% in his last year at the fund. When he left, the fund’s cumulative annualised returns improved from 8% to 20%. He still maintains a position as a Director on the board of Voxtron, an International Group specialised in Contact Centre Software.

Pon holds an M.Sc. in Financial Analysis from the University of San Francisco and a B.Econ. degree from the University of Sydney. He is currently undertaking the Chartered Financial Analyst designation programme.

Pon enjoys spending his time on the golf course and discovering the intricacies of life.
